A short trip to Kuala Perlis... | Lynda Ikan Bakar & Makanan Laut

A friend from Kangar who had just came back from Japan, invited us to Kuala Perlis for a treat at a famous eatery called Lynda Ikan Bakar & Makanan Laut. Located along Jalan Kuala Perlis; it can be spotted right after the Shell station.

We arrived rather early for dinner, so we immediately placed our order and was served right away. This place will be packed by the time the sun sets in.

Terung (RM2.40)

The first dish we had was Terung bakar (brinjals) which was grilled like the ikan bakar. The texture was soft but lacked flavor. To me, it was a just a simple vegetable dish.

Sotong goreng tepung (RM8.00)

Next, came the sotong goreng tepung (fried squid). I can say that this is the best sotong goreng tepung I ever had. The squid was fresh and juicy. They were perfectly fried and not over-cooked with excessive flour.

Ikan Bakar (RM32.00)

Their specialty dish was none other than the ikan bakar. It looked quite plain unlike other type of ikan bakar which has some sambal sauce spread on top. Nevertheless, it was very fresh and to add some flavor, we dipped it in chili sauce and sambal belacan seperately. Delicious!

Ketam (RM24.50)

Saving the best for last was the ketam (crab) cooked in chili gravy. It was irresistable and tastes as good as it looks. This mouthwatering dish is definitely not to be missed! I wonder if they should have named the stall as Lynda Ikar Bakar & Ketam?
